Morgan Smith

Actor

Alabama-native Morgan Smith attended Birmingham-Southern College on a Presidential Musical Theatre scholarship before moving to New York City. Smith was an original cast member in the Off-Broadway production of Julianne Moore’s Freckleface Strawberry (Nominations for Outer Critics’ Circle, Drama Desk, and Lucille Lortel Awards). She’s been a fixture on national television for the last 5 years. Initially as “Red,” the face of Wendy’s multi-faceted ad campaign; as “Shelby Fox” opposite Craig T. Nelson’s “Hayden Fox” in the reboot of COACH; and most recently in the ongoing recurring role of “Candi Caruso” in HBO’s Emmy Award winning comedy VEEP.

Smith resides in Los Angeles with her oh-so-supportive husband, Dave, where she continues her on-camera work as well as writing, creating, and producing new works. A proud RMT alum, Morgan is honored to be back performing with the RMPE and the extended Birmingham theatre community.
