As a Tony Award winning Broadway Producer and more than 40-year-old regional theatre, RMT is seeking an energetic, versatile individual for the position of Scenic Carpenter to support our mission of creating powerful theatre experiences that enrich, educate, and engage audiences – nourishing the human spirit, fostering valuable life skills, and cultivating a deeper sense of community.

The Scenic Carpenter will assist the Technical Director in the preparation and execution of the scenic design to support the artistic vision of RMT productions.

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside scene shop staff with materials acquisition, build, load-in, technical rehearsals, maintenance, and strike for all productions and events.
• Perform scenic construction duties as assigned by the Technical Director. Construct or adapt from build plans and/or stock scenic elements for each production and ensure the safe and timely completion of all assigned projects.
• Maintain clear communication with scene shop staff, Technical Director, and over hire staff.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean workplace in all production areas, including the stage
• Attend shop and staff meetings as requested.
• Other duties as assigned by Technical Director

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Theatre or comparable professional experience with training in technical theatre production including set construction.
• Understanding of industry standards for theatrical scenery build.  Proficient with all theatrical shop equipment and tools for set construction. Working knowledge of a variety of construction methods, materials and techniques including wood, fabric, metal and plastics.
• MIG Welding Experience strongly recommended.
• Comprehensive training in the safe operation of stationary and portable power tools, hand tools, stage rigging and equipment.
• Able to work as a team member and maintain a positive attitude
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license

Our Bartenders are responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, fun, safe, and efficient experiences for patrons at the Arts Campus’ two bars. Whether in the fast-paced environment of theatrical intermissions or bar service for a special event, our Bartenders provide exceptional customer service and effective operations to meet RMT’s revenue and experience goals. Pay - $15/hr plus tips

*Must have bartending experience.

Duties included:

• Verify identification and age requirements of customers
• Bartending experience with wine and liquor knowledge
• Mix traditional and creative cocktails
• Process payment from customers
• Clean glasses and bar utensils
• Other duties assigned

Red Mountain Theatre is seeking Facilitators (young adults out of high school) to assist with our year-round youth programming. Facilitators can be equated to camp counselors, serving as mentors for their group of approximately 25 students, and offering them stability and guidance throughout the camp/class day. Facilitators also assist teaching artists as needed.  Ultimately, Facilitators ensure the fun and safety of RMT students. FREELANCE TEACHING ARTISTS

The Education Department at Red Mountain Theatre (RMT) is constantly on the lookout for talented, engaging theatre educators to add to our roster of freelance teaching artists. RMT seeks candidates with strong leadership skills who are also consistent and reliable. Classroom management skills are essential to this position, and a positive attitude is a must. Teaching artists should be able to effectively engage a wide variety of learning styles. Teaching Artists are hired on a contract basis for specific RMT Programming (classes, camps, and residencies).
