Donating to Red Mountain Theatre Company not only supports our community impact, it also enriches your theatre-going experience.
Each giving level offers special benefits that are one of the many ways we say thank you to our donors. We invite you to join the family of supporters that sustains and encourages our excellence—on stage and off. One of the best ways to join our community is to join our Dress Circle Society:

Gifts in Tribute
A gift in memory of a loved one or in honor of a special person or occasion is a truly meaningful way to support Red Mountain Theatre Company. Donations may be made in any amount. Notification of your kind gesture will be sent to the honoree or family member. You will also receive a letter documenting your tax deductible contribution. When making a gift in tribute, please include the contact information for the honoree or family member. Please also indicate if your gift is intended for any special purpose.
Matching Gifts
Many community-minded companies will match contributions from their employees—doubling or even tripling your gift at no extra cost to you. RMTC credits matching gifts to the initiating donor, giving you the additional benefits associated with your new level of giving. Click here for a list of companies that offer matching gifts. **Note some companies may not be listed so please consult your employer’s human resources department to see if your company participates in a matching gift program..
Stock Gifts
Gifts of stocks, bonds and mutual funds that have increased in value (and that you have owned for more than one year) provide even greater tax benefits than giving cash. Not only is the market value of the securities tax deductible, but you can also avoid paying capital gains tax on the appreciation. Please alert our Director of Development of your intent to donate appreciated securities and indicate if your gift is intended for any special purpose. Your broker can contact us for information on how to transfer your securities to the Red Mountain Theatre Company brokerage account for sale.
Planned Giving

RMTC is continually expanding our reach and impact in the Birmingham community – and even the state of Alabama. But, this growth must be fueled with fiscal stability and long-term sustainability. To that end, RMTC has established a planned giving initiative named for an incredible woman, Carolyn King, who gave generously to RMTC during her lifetime and also planned for those gifts to continue past her time on earth. She was a blessing to so many and now serves as a shining example of dedication to the generations to come.
The Society that bears her name is comprised of those who have included RMTC in a will retirement plan, charitable lead trust, charitable remainder trust, or life insurance policy that contributes to RMTC upon their passing.
Won’t you join these donors in planning now for RMTC’s vital work into the future? Contact RMTC’s development office for more information. If you have made those plans, please let us know. We’d be grateful to include you in the Society!
