Donating to Red Mountain Theatre not only supports our community impact, it also enriches your theatre-going experience.
JOIN THE DRESS CIRCLE SOCIETY
The most rewarding way to join our RMT Family is to become a member of our Dress Circle Society. Each giving level offers special benefits that are one of the many ways we say thank you to our donors. We invite you to help sustain and encourage our excellence—on stage and off.
Gifts in Tribute
A gift in memory of a loved one or in honor of a special person or occasion is a truly meaningful way to support Red Mountain Theatre. When making a gift in tribute, please include the contact information for the honoree or family member, and notification of your kind gesture will be sent to them. Please also indicate if your gift is intended for any special purpose.
Many community-minded companies will match contributions from their employees—doubling or even tripling your gift at no extra cost to you. RMT credits matching gifts to the initiating donor, giving you the additional benefits associated with your new level of giving. Please consult your employer’s human resources department to see if your company participates in a matching gift program.
Gifts of stocks, bonds and mutual funds that have increased in value (and that you have owned for more than one year) provide even greater tax benefits than giving cash. Not only is the market value of the securities tax deductible, but you can also avoid paying capital gains tax on the appreciation. Please alert our Director of Development of your intent to donate appreciated securities and indicate if your gift is intended for any special purpose. Your broker can contact us for information on how to transfer your securities to the Red Mountain Theatre brokerage account for sale.
What is a donor-advised fund? A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a type of giving program that allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to easily support your favorite charities. An increasingly popular charitable vehicle, DAFs are an excellent way to both simplify your charitable giving and facilitate your strategic philanthropic goals. This widget currently supports only certain donor-advised funds. Contact email@example.com if you give to a DAF not listed or if you have other questions about contributing to Red Mountain Theatre through donor-advised funds.

Help support the arts and arts education programs in Alabama. Your $50 registration fee is tax deductible.
RMT is continually expanding our reach and impact in the Birmingham community – and even the state of Alabama. But, this growth must be fueled with fiscal stability and long-term sustainability. To that end, RMT has established a planned giving initiative named for an incredible woman, Carolyn King, who gave generously to RMT during her lifetime and also planned for those gifts to continue past her time on earth. She was a blessing to so many and now serves as a shining example of dedication to the generations to come.
The Society that bears her name is comprised of those who have included RMT in a will retirement plan, charitable lead trust, charitable remainder trust, or life insurance policy that contributes to RMT upon their passing.
Won’t you join these donors in planning now for RMT’s vital work into the future? If you have made those plans, please let us know. We’d be grateful to include you in the Society!
