A collaboration of Red Mountain Theatre & UAB Department of Theatre. Two educational powerhouses unite in Sister Act to bring professional theatre resources together with the next generation of musical theatre talent—for one incredible production!
You can’t have a list of iconic female roles on Broadway without including Deloris Van Cartier, the flamboyant disco diva from Sister Act. After witnessing a murder, Deloris must hide in a local convent, disguised as a nun. At odds with the strict lifestyle and even stricter Mother Superior, she finds her niche in revitalizing the church choir—until it ends up blowing her cover. This feel-good musical comedy will have you saying “Rejoice!”
