Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Sponsored by: Ronne & Donald Hess | ITAC | National Endowment for the Arts | PNC Bank | Shannon Smith | Susan & Hugh Thomas | Lisa and Alan Engel Foundation

End the summer with Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s classic Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The Biblical story of Joseph comes to vivid life with musical styles spanning country-western to bubblegum pop to rock & roll. When Joseph’s jealous older brothers sell him into slavery, his vivid prophetic dreams guide him in and out of trouble, until he ends up second-in-command to the Pharaoh. When his brothers find themselves unknowingly groveling at the feet of the brother they betrayed, Joseph tests their integrity. Embedded in the cleverly crafted lyrics and humor is the timeless message of forgiveness and reconciliation.

Enjoy this classic clip of Donny Osmond from the 1999 film version.
