Straight from Broadway, Every Brilliant Thing is an immersive theatre event about hope, resilience, and the small joys that make life worth living. It begins as a young girl’s handwritten list of things to cheer up her despondent mother … ice cream and the color yellow … and grows into her lifelong, moving record of what makes our lives brilliant. Stepping into the spotlight is Alabama native Morgan Smith, known for her work in theatre, TV (Veep, Messiah, 9-1-1, Boardwalk Empire), film (upcoming films Babies and The Deli), and as the face of Wendy’s in over 200 national commercials. She’ll create this unique experience that melds a beautiful solo performance with audience participation. It’s intimate, interactive, and inspiring.

Morgan Smith (she/her) is an actor whose work spans theater, television, and film. She began her career in New York City as an original Off-Broadway cast member in Julianne Moore’s critically acclaimed Freckleface Strawberry, earning both Outer Critics Circle and Lucille Lortel Award nominations. She went on to perform alongside Broadway luminaries including Rebecca Luker, Alice Ripley, and Lillias White before gaining national recognition as the face of Wendy’s iconic “Now That’s Better” campaign, appearing in more than 200 national commercials.

Morgan is best known for her recurring role as Candi Caruso on HBO’s Emmy Award-winning Veep. Her additional screen credits include Netflix’s Messiah, 9-1-1, Boardwalk Empire, Why Women Kill, and How I Met Your Father. Most recently, she wrapped the feature film Babies, directed by Lauren Miller Rogen and starring Seth Rogen and Anna Kendrick. She is also currently creative producing and starring in the upcoming independent film The Deli.
