Budding artists have fun with beloved children’s books, playing through the story as their favorite characters. These classes are designed to cultivate inventiveness as students learn the basics of theatre through collaboration and creative play. In this week’s class, students will read If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff.

Performing with Heart

Students will dive into the heart of musical theatre, which is singing and dancing while telling a story. They will learn to interpret the stories behind the songs in order to deliver honest, character-driven performances. In this class, students will learn 2 songs, including “Hard Knock Life” from Annie.

Students will work their triple threat skills, specifically focusing on nailing their auditions. They will learn tips and tricks for picking up dances quickly, finding a great cut of a song, and connecting to their monologue.

Anyone can tap! You just have to learn how to create different sounds with your feet, which is exactly what this class will teach. This dance class will focus on introductory tap steps and is great for beginners! Students need tap shoes for this class.
