WHAT IS A YOUNG ARTIST PRODUCTION?

All RMT Young Artist Productions are tuition-based opportunities for actors 18 and under. Tuition is $750. RMT is dedicated to furthering education for youth committed to the performing arts and offers financial assistance to those who qualify. HOW DO I GET CAST FOR MEAN GIRLS, JR.?

• Registrations are open to all students ages 13-18; students should have a basic understanding of theatre before registering to participate.
• Prior to May 22, 2023, register by clicking here and pay your deposit. 
• For the audition, prepare 16 bars of an audition song to sing from memory; please bring your sheet music with you to the audition. RMT will provide an accompanist. You will also do a dance call and cold reads from the script.
• Please bring your headshot and resume to the audition or email it to education@redmoutaintheatre.org prior to auditioning.
• Be at Red Mountain Theatre with your parent or guardian on Monday, May 22, 6:30-10:00 p.m. The audition starts with a 30 minute mandatory parent/guardian meeting. If no one is able to attend the mandatory meeting, please reach out to education@redmountaintheatre.org.
• All registered students will be cast in the show. The audition/casting process is considered part of the Young Artist Production opportunity.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT THE REHEARSAL SCHEDULE TO LOOK LIKE?

Rehearsal Dates:
Monday through Thursday, September 12-October 26, 6:30-10:00pm
(except Wednesday, Sept. 27 and Thursday, Sept. 28)

Tech Rehearsals:
Sat. Oct 21 from 9:30am-12:30pm
Sat. Oct 21 from 2:00-7:00pm
Sun. Oct 22 from 2:00-7:00pm
Tues. Oct 24 from 5:00-10:00pm
Wed. Oct 25 from 5:00-10:00pm
Thurs. Oct 26 from 5:00-10:00pm

Performances :

Fri. Oct 27, call time 6:00pm, performance 7:30pm, dismissal 9:00pm
Sat. Oct 28, call time 12:30pm, performance 2:00pm, dismissal 3:30pm
Sat. Oct 28, call time 6:00pm, performances 7:30pm, dismissal 9:00pm
Sun. Oct 29, call time 12:30pm, performances 2:00pm, dismissal 3:30pm
