Minister Nadia B. Hopson, a Birmingham native, was born to Elder James C. & Sis. Willie Mae Burks. Minister Hopson has been in church all of her life. Even as a child, she began her ministry leading songs in the church choir. In 1998 she graduated from West End High school, and she went on to Stillman College during which time she decided to pursue a career in the U.S Army Reserve. During her 8 years of military service, she also served at home in the A.M.E church where she worked as Director of the Choir, Youth Director, & Head Musician. After receiving an Honorable Discharge from the military, she graduated from Miles College in May 2011 with a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice, a prerequisite to law studies. In May 2011, she married the match to her strength, Randolph “Butch” Hopson. She is the mother of Maeyel Na’Dia 12, as well as Mother/Founder of “Mommy Bootcamp,” where she’s mother to Shalon and Nanna to Takiara. “Mommy Bootcamp” is an in-home ministry where young women and children are moved into the home environment and taught basic Christian principles, life skills, and sound work ethics. In 2005, she recorded and released her first Gospel Album entitled “Where Would I Be?” She is owner and operator of Mrs. Nadia’s Army Navy Surplus located in Bessemer Alabama. Now she is exploring a lifelong dream of acting in stage productions. She is a well-qualified speaker, singer and actress, a messenger of God, a nationally recorded Gospel Artist, an entrepreneur, a visionary, and so much more. She is truly excited to have been chosen to participate in this beautiful production!
