Jake Bridges

Actor

Jake attended his first RMT summer workshop in 1997 and spent each of the next 10 summers coming back again and again. He performed in numerous RMT shows over the years including Pippin, Big, Mame, and The Wizard of Oz. He was a member of the performing ensembles from 2000-2006 and was an original member of what has become Spotlights.

After training at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music in musical theatre, he made a brief stop at Walt Disney World before eventually making it up to the Big Apple. His career has taken him all over the United States including the national tours of South Pacific (Professor) and Beauty and the Beast (Lefou). He also sailed the high seas at one point performing aboard Disney Cruise Lines’ Fantasy ship (Aladdin).
Previous regional theatre credits have included stops at the North Shore Music Theatre (Billy Elliot), the Ogunquit Playhouse (Beauty and the Beast), Theatre By the Sea (Hello Dolly, A Chorus Line), the Westchester Broadway Theatre (Ragtime), the Weathervane Theatre (Spamalot, Joseph), and, of course, the Red Mountain Theatre Company.

In the more recent past, Jake worked as a teaching artist for multiple arts education companies in New York including Wingspan Arts, Broadway Bound Kids, and Inside Broadway. He has directed multiple school programs and performances for a variety of ages though the years and even got the opportunity to direct Les Miserables (School Edition) for the Advanced Teen Company at the Engeman Theatre last fall. Jake is a proud member of AEA and former client of Gregg Baker Management. Jake recently moved to Washington, DC where he is a graduate student in the Arts Management program at American University. He is also serving as a fellow for the Artistic Director Initiative with Arena Stage in DC where he is helping create a program to train the next generation of artistic directors.
