Emily Hoppe
Teaching Artist
Emily Louise Hoppe is an Artist, Teacher, and Foster Mom who has been living and working in the greater Birmingham area for over 10 years. She received a B.A. with a double major in theatre and music from Samford University where she met her husband and fellow performer, Rush Brunson. She teaches grades 1-8 general music, middle school chorus and theatre, after school ukulele club, and is an administrative assistant at Alabama Waldorf School in Crestwood. She has taught workshops and residencies for RMT as well as stage managing, working backstage, and performing in productions since 2010. Emily is also the Children’s Programming Director for South City Theatre in Pelham where she also directs, music directs, and performs in their productions. She directs a musical with nearly 100 elementary students every spring at Randolph School in Huntsville. She occasionally teaches private voice, violin, piano, or ukulele lessons and performs with local theatre and musical groups whenever she can!
