Abijah Cunningham is a wife of 11 years to Kenneth Cunningham and a mother of two Kaleb (9 yrs. old) and Addison (6 years old). She has been involved in a number of choirs and ensembles. Abijah has recorded with GMWA as one of the featured soloist. She was also, a featured soloist for Birmingham Empowerment “Moving 50 years Forward”, performed several times with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, one of the lead vocalist in “It Ain’t Nothing but the Blues”, cast as “Dorothy” in the Wiz, performed as “Lorrell Robinson” in Dreamgirls, as the “Narrartor” in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, performed as “Church Lady” in the “Color Purple”, and also performed as the “Lead Soprano” in Beehive. She also performed and won first place at the Sickle Cell Gala in Birmingham AL. She received her Bachelor’s in History and Psychology from Stillman College, where she also became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She plans to continue using the gift that God has blessed her with.
