Abijah Cunningham is a wife of 12 years to Kenneth Cunningham and a mother of two Kaleb (10 yrs. old) and Addison (7 yrs. old). She is a member of Mt. Canaan Full Gospel Church, where she serves on the praise and worship team. Abijah started singing at early age and singing has become a big part of her life. She has been involved in a number of choirs and ensembles. Abijah has also, recorded with GMWA as one of the featured soloists. She was a featured soloist for Birmingham Empowerment “Moving 50 years Forward”, performed with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, was one of the lead vocalists in It Ain’t Nothing but the Blues, Dorothy in The Wiz, Lorrell Robinson in Dreamgirls, as the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Church Lady in the The Color Purple, one of the the Urchins in Little Shop of Horrors, and Lead Soprano in Beehive. She also performed and won first place at the Sickle Cell Gala in Birmingham, Al. She received a Bachelor’s in History and Psychology from Stillman College, where she also became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She plans to continue using the gift that God has blessed her with, never failing to give him all glory, praise and honor that are due to him.
