Abijah Cunningham


Abijah Cunningham is wife to Kenneth Cunningham and mother to Kaleb and Addison. She is a member of Mt. Canaan Full Gospel Church, where she serves on the praise and worship team. Abijah started singing at an early age, and has been involved in a number of choirs and ensembles. She was a featured soloist for Birmingham Empowerment’s “Moving 50 Years Forward,” performed with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, was one of the lead vocalists in It Ain’t Nothing but the Blues, cast as Dorothy in The Wiz, performed as Lorrell Robinson in Dreamgirls, as Church Lady in The Color Purple, and also performed as the Lead Soprano in Beehive. She performed and won first place at the Sickle Cell Gala in Birmingham. Abijah received a Bachelor’s in History and Psychology from Stillman College, where she became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She plans to continue using the gift that God has blessed her with, never failing to give him all the glory, praise and honor that are due to him.
