About the Theatre ...
The RMTC Cabaret Theatre is located in the heart of downtown Birmingham (301 19th Street North), on the bottom floor of the historic Kress Building. The beautiful six-story building with white marble exterior has been renovated from its original beginnings as a Five and Dime Department Store in the 1920’s to its current role as home to the Wiggins, Childs, Quinn and Pantazis Law Firm.
The RMTC Cabaret Theatre is handicap/wheelchair accessible and contains an elevator for those who might need assistance. Free and handicap parking is located along 3rd and 4th Avenues, along with the ParkRite parking deck on the corner of 4th Avenue North and 19th Street North. Paid parking is located directly across the street from the theatre entrance on 19th Street North.

Is an appointment necessary to take a tour of the RMTC Cabaret Theatre?

What dates are available for booking events?
The Cabaret Theatre is available 7 days a week for events (depending on rehearsal and show schedules). To inquire about scheduling availability, please contact our Sales Manager (205-324-2424 or email@example.com)
Can I have an open bar for my event?
Yes, we offer a variety of ways to utilize our full bar service which is always staffed with our experienced bartenders, including both a cash and open bar for your guests. The option of no bar is also available.
Does RMTC have approved caterers that can be used for my event?
Yes, RMTC has an approved list of experienced caterers. All arrangements with the caterer are the responsibility of the client.
Can I use flowers, balloons and/or candles?
Yes, all are permitted. Candles must be enclosed in a votive or vase.
Can the stage be used for an event?
Yes, the Stage area is available for an additional fee. Permission to use the Stage or set up electronics or musical equipment during an event must be pre-arranged and approved by RMTC’s Production Manager. Access to the Backstage area is restricted and NOT available to the client.
Are bands and DJ’s allowed?
Yes, but we require a RMTC Sound Technician to be on site for the event (additional charge).
Can the tables and seats be removed?
Yes, but a refit fee will apply for furniture moved from its original position.
Is valet parking available?
Yes, we are happy to coordinate valet parking for you and your guests.
Is the theatre handicap or wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the Cabaret Theatre includes an elevator as well as trained staff to help with any special needs.
Buyout or rental payments can be made by check or credit card (VISA, Mastercard, Discover or American Express). Checks should be made payable to Red Mountain Theatre Company.
*Note: Full balance is due upon signing of contract. Final incidentals are due upon receipt of bill.
