The Director of Development is ultimately responsible for identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of approximately $2 million in contributed support each season across a broad range of sources (individual, foundation, corporation, and government). Viable candidates possess a background in fundraising or advanced sales/marketing/communication experience.

We are looking for an experienced individual who is a self-starter, creative, and passionate about promoting opportunities at RMTC. As the Marketing Manager with RMTC you will be tasked with coordinating marketing efforts between media outlets, writing and editing copy for promotional pieces and tracking its media plan across all RMTC departments under the direction of the Marketing Director. Resident Sound Designer/Engineer
Red Mountain Theatre Company (RMTC), an esteemed regional theatre in Birmingham AL, is seeking a full time Resident Sound Designer / Engineer. In conjunction with the Production Manager, the Resident Sound Designer / Engineer oversees all sound aspects of RMTC’s productions with a primary focus on design and live mixing of all performances.
Candidate must be proficient in:
Sound Design, Live Mixing to include up to 45 wireless microphones and 10 orchestra members, operation of a Yamaha O2R96 Sound Board, QLAB, and the maintenance and repair of sound equipment due to normal use.
Knowledge of additional technical aspects of a theatrical presentation including Video Projection is a plus. Must be able to work quickly and efficiently on multiple projects within budgetary constraints and varied labor pools. Candidates should be a graduate of an accredited technical theatre program or have relevant work experience. Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a professional theatre producing large scale musicals preferred.

ASSISTANT MUSIC DIRECTOR
RMTC Conservatory is seeking an Assistant Music Director. Job duties include teaching music to children ages 6-18, attending rehearsals on Sundays from 1pm-6pm and occasional Saturdays from 10am-6pm, a strong aptitude as a pianist, excellent sight reading skills, patience working with young people, high standards for music performance, clear and consistent communication, and regular access to email. Music degree not required, but music direction experience preferred.
PRODUCTION SUMMER APPRENTICESHIPS
Seeking experienced local theatre production crew members for summer apprentice program. Several apprentices will be hired with 40 hours-per-week contracts ranging from 6 to 15 weeks. Tasks will include a variety of musical theatre production responsibilities such as carpentry, lighting and sound assistance, assistance in stage manager, and backstage assistance. This opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking to gain significant production experience with a professional company.
