The musicians of PanHarmonium include David Cantrell, from Tuscaloosa, AL; Susan Marchant, from Oxford, MS; and Gilbert Ritchie, from Greenville, SC. PanHarmonium was formed in 1987 to recreate the music of ancient times using appropriate instruments and musical styles. The trio plays reproductions of early instruments, and their repertoire includes vocal, instrumental, secular, and sacred music of the medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque periods.
In addition to Silence, Dolores and the members of PanHarmonium have also created story/music performances of Eglamore and Cristobel: A Medieval Love Story,
Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, and The Juggler of Notre Dame. They have performed together at the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, TN; at the International Congress of Medieval Studies in Kalamazoo; at American University, the University of Oregon, and DePauw University; and at other venues.
