Caitlin Schweizer is a professional dancer and choreographer whose experience ranges from NBA dance teams to national commercials, an international media tour, and working on the set of NBC’s musical TV show SMASH. Including a B.A. from George Mason University with a concentration in World Arts, Caitlin’s 20+ years of dance experience include Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Latin Fusion, African and Contemporary styles. She has performed in NYC’s Broadway Dance Center Student Showcase pieces by Lizz Picini, Sheila Barker and Jamie Jackson, completing one year’s showcase as a choreographer assistant. Caitlin has been featured in the popular NYC dance photography project Dance As Art by renowned photographer Kevin Richardson, and has taught dance throughout NYC in studios such as Mark Morris and Alvin Ailey Extension. After moving to Birmingham in 2017, Caitlin is now a Teaching Artist at The Dance Foundation and is the creator of an adult dance community called Intercity Dance Collective which aims to expand training opportunities for dancers post-graduation. Caitlin and her husband Oliver are proud puppy parents to Madison Elaine, a very dramatic beagle-chihuahua mix.
