Abijah Cunningham is a native of Hueytown, Alabama. She is a wife of seven years to Kenneth Cunningham, and a mother of two, Kaleb, five and Addison, two. She is a member of Mt. Canaan Full Gospel where she serves on the Praise and Worship team. She has been involved in many choirs and ensembles, including All about Christ, Finesse, Ensley Magnet High School Choir, All State Honor Choir, Stillman College Tour Choir, and Gospel Workshop of America (GMWA). Abijah has also recorded with GMWA as one of the featured soloists. She was a featured soloist for Birmingham Empowerment “Moving 50 Years Forward”, cast as one of the leading roles in Dreamgirls as Lorrell Robinson, performed as the Narrartor in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Church Lady in the Color Purple, ensemble member in RMTC’s Les Miserables, and Beehive. She received a Bachelor’s degree in History and Psychology from Stillman College, where she also became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She plans to continue using the gift that God has blessed her with, never failing to give him all praise, glory and honor that are due to him.
