Alexis King Tolbert is a native of Birmingham, AL; Alexis began singing,dancing, and playing instruments at the age of four. She has had the opportunity to study music and record behind several local as-well-as national recording artists. She is a 2001 graduate of Pinson Valley High School where she was afforded the opportunity to perform in the 1997 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. She went on to study at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, AL and earned her degree from Miles College. She is the mother of two beautiful children and the daughter of Benjamin and Debra King. This her debut performance in a major stage play. She would like to thank her parents, family and close friends for always believing in her gifts and talents. She would also like to thank her god-sister, Deirdre Gaddis and her honorary god-mother, the late Carolynn Washington for nurturing her gifts in her formative years.
